Environment

Our two seas, the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea, dominate this special coastline. Its¿ abrupt cliffs, endless  white-sand beaches, charming and lively coastal villages and exotic coves where crystal-clear waters lap the sandy shores all make it a unique and special place to visit.

The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a stretch of fine sand around 22km long and between 100 and 1,200 meters wide. This area is known as La Manga del Mar Menor (or `the Sleeve¿ due to its form). The eastern shores are especially noted for the beaches that run along its length and for the short stretch of spectacular coastline which marks its beginnings in the Cabo de Palos and occupies the south eastern zone along the border of the Calblanque Natural Park. The hidden coves and unspoilt beaches, bathed by theMediterranean Sea, challenge visitors to come and discover all their secret charms.

The two seas offer visitors infinite ways to enjoy a wide range of watersports.  Back on dry land the offer is just as extensive and includes protected natural areas, the cultural treasures of local towns and of course the chance to really relax playing golf or enjoying the pleasures of a health and beauty treatment.

Combined with an exceptional climate and a rich local cuisine, our two seas are undoubtedly a perfect place to enjoy a getaway weekend, a real holiday or even just a few days of sport and relaxation in one of the most stunning tourist destinations on the Spanish coast.
